The Vignale Gamine is a small rear-engined car produced by Carrozzeria Vignale from 1967 to 1971, based on the Fiat 500 but with a roadster body, two seats and a canvas roof. Designed by Alfredo Vignale, founder of Carrozzeria Vignale based in Turin and active from 1946 to 1973, a well-known company that has created bodyworks for prestigious brands such as Cisitalia, Ferrari and Maserati.

On the morning of November 16, 1969, Alfredo Vignale died in an obscure road accident at the age of 56. One of the great architects of the Italian bodywork disappeared with him, and the company was then liquidated in 1973.

Since 1974 the Vignale brand has been part of the Ford Group and after thirty years in 2004, it was back active with the presentation of the Ford Focus Vignale prototype. In 2013, at the Frankfurt Motor Show, the Mondeo Vignale was previewed, and today the brand distinguishes Ford cars with exclusive fittings.
