Porsche 917K by KNULP

DESCRIPTION

The painting (100 cm x 150 cm) made in a single copy by the well-known international artist KNULP, depicts the beautiful Porsche 917K in the well-known Gulf livery starring Steve McQueen in the cult film "The 24 Hours of Le Mans" (Usa, 1971).

Twenty-five Porsche 917s were built, a project born in the late 60s to be able to win even the most famous endurance race. This Sport with double overhead camshaft, air cooling and direct injection power supply, immediately proved to be unbeatable, winning the World Marques Championship in both 1970 and 1971.

KNULP: Born in Turin in 1962, Fabrizio de Nicolò aka KNULP brings together in his works the passion for motors, POP ART and the experience gained as a professional photographer.

Noise and color are the unmistakable features of a large part of his production marked and dedicated to motorsport. The cutting and framing of the images betray their provenance from the photography environment. The bright colors and the use of dripping bring the viewer and breathe POP atmospheres and the frenzy and adrenaline of a car circuit.

Outsider by choice of the institutional environment of the art market, his works are present and highly recognizable in prestigious locations, exhibiting in important international exhibitions and reviews, and counting important clients such as, for example: Horacio Pagani founder of the famous Pagani Automobili.
